Mantra Group demonstrates staff engagement in support of victims

Christmas can be a difficult time of year for many families. For someone at risk of family violence, it can be a time of fear and intimidation. Services see a spike in instances of violence during holidays.

As part of its partnership with Never Alone and the Luke Batty Foundation, Mantra Group has been engaging its Team Members with a toy drive. Gifts are being collected for women and children who find themselves away from home and seeking protection in refuges this festive season.
2,197 gifts have been collected from across all 113 Australian Mantra Group properties, and this is just from Mantra Group Team Members alone!

The Luke Batty Foundation wants to work with businesses and organisations across all sectors to create opportunities for staff engagement on family violence.

While it is very important, this kind of initiative isn’t just about gift giving and supporting victims. This is about starting the difficult conversations that are necessary to change attitudes and begin to reduce violence in the community.
